4 oz. self-raising flour
2 oz. caster sugar
2 oz. margarine
1 egg
½ teacup milk
1 lb.cooking apples |
Set oven to 350ºF. Grease a
pie dish. Stew the apples for a short time only. Cream the margarine and sugar
together, beat in the egg, stir in the flour and mix to a batter with the milk. Put
a layer of batter into the pie dish, cover with the semi-stewed apples and pour on the
rest of the batter. Bake for 30 minutes or so until golden brown. |
