Malt Loaf -
12 oz. self-raising flour
8 oz. sugar
8 oz.dried fruit
3 tablespoons Ovaltine
½ pint milk
Pinch of salt |
Set oven to
325ºF. Grease a 2lb. loaf tin. Stew the apples for a short time only. Mix all
ingredients together thoroughly, put into the tin and bake for 1½ - 2 hours. Serve
sliced thinly with butter. |
